Beautiful Mizen Peninsula

Situated in the south coast of Ireland in West County Cork, the Mizen Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The Mizen Peninsula stretches from Ballydehob willage westward for 34 km (21 miles) to Mizen Head. The main road passes through the villages of Schull, Toormore, Goleen and Crookhaven along the way to Mizen Head. The village Durrus is gateway to the peninsula from the north.

Along the way you will have a chance to view some magnificent scenery including fine views of Mount Gabriel, Fastnet Rock, Cape Clear, Sherkin Island, Roaring Water and Dunmanus Bays and "Carbery's Hundred Isles".

The area is a paradise for those who enjoy the outdoor life. The Mizen Peninsula provides many fine beaches and harbours for those who love the sea and wish to indulge in their passion.

John Earley's "Beautiful Mizen Peninsula" includes many stunning photographs of this area's scenery, flora and fuana. It is also a guide to the history and culture of the locality.

The centrepiece of this publication is a map of the peninsula to guide you on your way.

The Beautiful Mizen Peninsula is an invaluable aid for any visitor to the Mizen Peninsula. It will also be a treasured momento long after you leave.
